Helicopters in Aerospace Education 08/20/2010
During the Tuesday, August 16, 2010, meeting of Fox Cities Composite Squadron cadets had the opportunity to learn about the part the rudder, aileron and flaps play in keeping a plane in flight as part of their Aerospace Education instruction. The class was taught by Lt Col Pete Boulanger, the squadron's Aerospace Technology Officer. Lt Col Boulanger then had the Cadets creat their own helicopters to test the information that was learned. The completed vehicles were then taken outside to test out their flying capabilities. Helicpters were released several times, with a few modifications after the launches to repair equipment.
